Job Description
Summary Description- We are looking for a Quality Assurance manager responsible for all aspects of Quality Control and Inspection of metal fabricated parts and assemblies at our facility.
Responsibilities
- Customer Satisfaction, Process Review, Testing & Calibration, Special Process Requirements, maintain all necessary documents & records as Specified by Customer, internal audits, customer complaints and feedback, maintain all certification and registration status.
- Review route sheets and purchase orders prior to release.
- Communicates in a timely manner with the President, other members of the work team, and with all related departments about job status and/or problems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, and understand and instruct SPC methods and systems.
- Achieve Quality Assurance compliance operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, and quality standards; determining system improvements; implementing changes that improve product quality.
- Develop Quality Planning Requirements
- Maintain quality goals and requirements by organizing, and promoting a quality culture; developing and disseminating standards, metrics, and standard operating procedures already established.
- Maintain quality compliance by developing and enforcing plans, programs, policies, procedures, and SOPs; conducting audits; evaluating documentation; developing improvement plans; preparing and delivering training to employees.
- Protect the organization’s competitiveness by keeping information confidential.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Serve as the company's Quality Management Representative for ISO9001 and AS9100.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or Associate's with experience in the field preferred or High School Diploma with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a job shop environment.
- Technical proficiency must be able to use computers and generate reports.
- Ability to analyze data and create and review processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A desire to help others achieve their best.
- Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.
- Eye for details.
- Must be able to accurately read and understand engineering drawings (blueprints).
