Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Manager for our home fragrance manufacturing environment, with the ability to analyze information, report research results, and document and implement process improvement/changes. We contract manufacture luxury candles and reed diffusers for our customers.
Oversee the activity of Quality Assurance department and staff, developing, implementing and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing to the organizations products and development processes.
The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organized, experienced, work well under pressure, and possess the ability to work independently. A keen eye for detail and quick learning are also required.
Responsibilities
- Manage QC personnel
- Supervision and assignment of quality control line inspectors.
- Provide training as needed for quality management procedures.
- Ensure new procedures are in place and being utilized properly.
- Take the lead in teamwork, procedures, safety, respect and work ethics.
- Certify proper documentation and practices are maintained
- Input information into database; share data with customer as needed.
- Review QC reports and samples from external sources and provide feedback to ensure quality products prior to shipping.
- Ensure internal quality audits are conducted and make recommendations to resolve/improve issues.
- Review incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual inspections; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Author or revise Standard Operating Procedures to improve process within the QA/QC department.
Skills & Knowledge Required:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years Quality experience.
- 2-3 years management experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (Bilingual - Spanish a plus).
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills required.
- Knowledge of Windows programs including Excel and software database.
This job is a full-time position, Monday through Fridays, with occasional overtime as needed.
