Purpose of this role:
Acting on behalf of Department Manager, the QA Engineer III is responsible for evaluating the development and execution of Quality strategies by driving accountability and promoting a Quality mindset, through collaboration and mentorship that achieves world-wide customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities of this role:
- Evaluate the dept. product output, in an environment of constant change, to meet or exceed spec to satisfy Customer expectations.
- Evaluate and judge all changes in production environment to ensure no risk to overall CBU Quality.
- Evaluate department Quality issues to lead implementation of countermeasures to reduce risk of outflow and achieve world class customer quality.
- Lead and support collaborative problem solving of simple/complex problems to apply C/M's quickly with all related Depts. To reduce risk of outflow to the customer.
- Verify process controls are in place and are following QMS procedures to ensure dept compliance.
- Evaluate and support the development of department Quality improvement activities and Business Plan themes to strengthen and achieve Key Quality Performance Indicators.
- Quality status reporting to senior management
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- 2-year technical degree
- 8 years quality management experience
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Ability to read and understand parts drawings.
- Quality Management and systems training.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR BOTH WRITTEN AND VERBALLY.
