Overview
Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Quality and Compliance Coordinator for our Bloomington, IL or Granite City, IL facility.
Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to over 700 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health and primary care treatment to patients in Central and Southern Illinois. We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, accurate and innovative data analysis and interpretations at the direction of the Clinical Alignment and Quality Manager in collaboration with clinical leadership. Includes ongoing reports and ad hoc requests.
  • Support quality improvement efforts and strategic initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes, patient satisfaction and the utilization of resources.
  • Assist with strategic clinical Quality and Compliance projects in support of Chestnut's mission, vision, values and strategic direction as led by the Clinical Alignment and Quality Manager.
  • Maintain communication with clinical staff, solicit feedback regarding applicable projects, and need for new projects.
  • Maintain competency for audit ready charts by providing guidance and feedback to improve compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data reporting activities that enhance organizational collaboration and efficiencies such as documentation reviews.
  • Provide feedback to program supervisors related to staff competencies with documentation that follows state and entity requirements.
  • Collaborate within the QM team to support each other and the functions of the department.
  • Assist in coordination of activities for all licensure, accreditation, regulatory and oversight entity site visits.
  • Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut's behavioral standards for customer service.
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and consumer information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Position requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare, analytics, or related field of study with professional experience leading quality initiatives in a healthcare setting; behavioral health care and/or primary care setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC), IL Department of Human Services - Divisions of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery and Mental Health (SUPR, DMH) regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical systems including Epic, eClinicalWorks, and TIER is desirable.
  • Must be able to manage risk and ambiguity, work effectively with operational staff, leadership, and clinicians to define scope, and be able to manage multiple and often changing priorities.
  • Time management and strong analytical skills are required to gather, interpret, and prepare high quality reports and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to lead projects, develop outcome metrics, interpret standards and implement planning/procedures, navigate electronic medical record (EMR) system, problem solving required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance and be insurable.
  • Must be able to travel between regions and other agency locations.
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut's background checking process.
