The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the trade practice, promotions, and licensing functions of the beverage alcohol compliance team.

Trade Practices
- Assist Compliance team with researching and summarizing state and federal trade practice laws for beverage alcohol.
Update and maintain trade practice matrices of federal and state legalities for beverage alcohol as directed by manager.
Advertising and Promotions
- With oversight, prepare and submit state prior approval requests for advertising and promotional material, coupons and sweepstakes programs, where required.
Track and follow up on prior approval requests to ensure state responses are received to meet promotion start dates. Notify manager of responses received and provide status updates. Submit for state sweepstakes registrations, and request bonds from Surety Company and checks from Accounts Payable, when required.
Sales Licensing
- With oversight, assist with preparing paperwork for new sales hire licenses and renewals.
Work with internal partners to obtain necessary documentation to complete sales license applications.
Request checks from accounts payable for sales licenses.
Submit sales license application packets, track and follow up on licenses from start to finish to ensure timely processing by the state and receipt by sales personnel. Notify manager of responses received and provide status updates.
Keep current records of all sales personnel licenses.
Proactively communicate changes in the status of sales licenses to management.
Administrative Duties
- Update compliance databases, department website, and resource tools as directed by manager.
Maintain orderly and organized files and records for Compliance team.
Assist with the development and preparation of compliance SOPs, educational training materials and presentations.
Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Support compliance team members as needed.
QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Category: 2 to 4 years
Experience Description:
- 3+ years of regulatory / legal experience.
- Alcohol beverage industry knowledge an asset, but not required.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe and Internet research.
Skills:
- Highly fluent in English and able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Discretion in handling highly sensitive and strict confidential matters.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to constantly prioritize and multitask.
