Qc Chemist

Our client is a manufacturer of botanical oils and products, specifically cannabidiol.
(CBD), in the Midwest. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of QC Chemist.
In this role, the desired candidate will be responsible for the handling and oversight of
everyday operations in the QC laboratory including, but not limited to sample intake, sample.
preparation and raw data analysis/interpretation. Candidate will use test results in order to work with
the team to verify product integrity and improve the efficiency and efficacy of processes.

Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Preparation of samples for testing in a timely fashion
• Testing of samples via chemical instrumentation, specifically HPLC and GCMS
• Understanding material workflow
• Analyzing and interpreting raw data
• Operation of laboratory instrumentation
• Maintaining laboratory instrumentation
• Working with the manufacturing team in order to improve processes and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Candidate should possess the following:
• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or similar field
• Experience in analytical and/or organic chemistry
• Experience working with a team to complete tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Basic knowledge of analytical concepts (density, volume, etc)
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of analytical chemical instrumentation
• Ability to reliably and consistently follow instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively.
• High level of organizational skills
