DESCRIPTION:
As a QA/QC Manager at WDF Inc., reporting to the Operations Manager you will have the opportunity to:

• Expand and Develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality associated with delivering a completed construction project
• Assist with the creation of project specific Quality Management Plans and verify implementation of plan for each project
• Assist with the development of Quality metrics that empower teams to review information on quality execution; work cross-functionally with operations to address any trend.
• Manage a team of Quality professionals to execute the administrative tasks related to reporting site evaluations, quality reporting requirements, and site specific quality planning
• Conduct random site evaluations, including follow-up evaluations to ensure corrections have been made to deficiencies
• Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and quality issues across project teams and among all quality personnel
• Act as a resource for field operations with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements as well as local quality regulations including: ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, and FBC
• Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations, Quality Department Staff, and Subcontractors
• Stay abreast of trends and evolving best practices by participating in organizations and forums dedicated to Quality.
• Keep the Company informed of the latest updates on best practices and standards

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or Quality Management from an accredited institution and 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control on NYC construction projects exceeding 150 million in value.. Advanced degree preferred
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York
• Must have 5 years of recent experience overseeing the inspection and materials testing of projects similar in scale or scope
• Solid understanding of means and methods of construction
• Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry
• Working knowledge of national and State code and quality regulations/standards
• Knowledge of construction i.e. prints, plans, procedures, scheduling, and testing
• The following certifications are preferred but not required: Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV-SP) Accreditation, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Accreditation, Construction Manager In Training (CMIT) Accreditation since 2015, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Accreditation since 2022, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Accreditation, ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector, ASCE Quality Management
