QC Manager - CNC Machining
Location: Wood Dale area
Job Type and Duration: Permanent Direct Hire
Pay rate: $100k - $125k/yr
Core hours - Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Our client is looking for a Quality Manager who will lead the QA Team by implementing and directing quality control processes designed to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction. Our AS9100 Certified metals machining organization provides quality parts to key OEMs in the defense, aerospace, oil and gas, and mining industries.
Job Duties:
-Initiate and maintain QA processes that will detect non-conforming products preventing escapes to our customers.
-Maintain and improve QA processes that enable continuous quality improvement.
-Manage the corrective action process addressing ineffective processes, non-conforming products, supplier quality conformance and customer complaints.
-Manage Company's ISO and AS9100 Quality Management System including documents, processes, internal audits, and third-party audits.
-Managing customer relationships and building trust as our primary quality interface.
-Develop QA personnel and provide leadership through skill improvement activities and annual performance reviews.
-Manage departmental productivity through the adoption of innovative technology and improved inspection processes.
-Maintain quality measurables and publish quality metrics.
Qualifications:
-B.S. degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
-Minimum 10 years QA experience in machining / manufacturing environments.
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
-Experience managing ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
-Inspection data analysis and problem resolution skills.
-Experience with contract review processes.
-Experience with first article and PPAP processes and documentation.
-Experience with supplier quality management and improvement.
-Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
-Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing and spreadsheets and databases.
We need someone who is strong with the QMS who will handle all the ISO and AS9100 quality system certifications and recertifications.
From internal audits to external audits.
Someone who also has a strong technical quality background. Someone who was a quality tech and moved into QA Engineering and into management.
They will be interacting with our customers and vendors.
