Summary Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
- Records test data.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Quarantines non-conforming material by tagging and writing reports.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience with quality inspection in manufacturing and quality processes desired.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position will support our Steel Ball production
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Bump caps, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas. Hearing protection is encouraged and may be required in specific areas.
