Quality Assurance Director

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Director is a key role responsible for the highest standards of quality and compliance at The OccuNet Company. They will oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and processes across all departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the QA team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans based on project specifications, requirements, and timelines.
  • Test Strategy: Define and implement an effective test strategy, including test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for manual and automated testing.
  • Test Execution: Oversee the execution of test cases, both manual and automated, to ensure the quality of software applications.
  • Defect Management: Implement and manage defect tracking processes, including identification, documentation, and resolution of issues.
  • Automation: Lead efforts to automate repetitive and time-consuming QA tasks, improving testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers, to ensure a shared understanding of quality expectations.
  • Regression Testing: Coordinate and conduct regression testing to validate software changes and ensure no adverse impacts on existing functionality.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track key quality metrics, providing regular reports on test progress, defect status, and overall product quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the QA team and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
  • Training: Provide training and mentorship to QA team members, ensuring a high level of competency and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a QA Lead or in a similar leadership role within the Quality Assurance domain.
  • Testing Tools: Proficiency in QA testing tools and frameworks, both manual and automated (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of various testing methodologies, including manual, automated, performance, and regression testing.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analytical mindset to identify and troubleshoot complex issues, as well as contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and inspire the QA team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on finding practical solutions.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (required)

Relevant certifications in Software Testing and Quality Assurance. (preferred)
