SalaryWe are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to perform a variety of tasks related to the procurement and management of necessary materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Responsibilities:
- Issue, send, and confirm purchase orders
- Keep track of purchases and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels-both in the system and physical cycle counts
- Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries
- Coordinate between Production and Receiving to organize inventory efficiently
- Communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
- Identify and assist in solving problems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications / Skills:
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP software
- Effective time management and task prioritizing skills
- Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies
- Willingness to help in areas where needed-including production.
- Ability to support, learn and enhance all phases of a process.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor or Associates degree preferred
- Inventory Control/Cycle Counting experience is a plus
- Proficient with Excel and internet-based programs
- Experience is not as important as a positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
