- Work with the purchasing team to pull jobs from a queue and self-assign workloads
- Process a high volume of purchase orders to vendor partners to include change orders, subcontractor PO’s, corrections, and modifications that arise throughout the life of the sales order
- Confirm item code and pricing accuracy using vendor portals and work directly with various vendor contacts
- Proactively research and communicate to applicable staff any pricing and availability issues that arise, causing delays to job and client sites
- Determine appropriate shipping methods used in a cost-effective manner when submitting purchase orders to vendor partners, meeting all need-by dates
- Assist with establishing new vendor accounts as needed to procure equipment not available through existing vendor partners
- Assist with maintaining item code and pricing database, assuring it is kept up to date and accurate
- Work with sales and project teams to status equipment as needed
- Work directly with vendor partners to provide point-of-sale reporting monthly
- Work closely with management to assure Demo Policy is followed to include working directly with sales team to ensure the product is returned or sold, remaining in compliance with various vendor partner programs
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships to include all contacts involved in the order management and procurement process
- Manage Forecast Meetings to determine stocking orders for material run rates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2yrs work experience,
- or 5+ years’ experience in an order management or purchasing role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other ERP environments
- Microsoft Dynamics SL Preferred
- Knowledge of Inventory control and basic accounting functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to weigh options, work against deadlines, think logically, and accurate record-keeping
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to multitask and prioritize while staying focused in a busy office environment
- Professionalism, accuracy, attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and vendor relationship management is a must
