Summary: We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join the inaugural Cosm Los Angeles venue in Hollywood Park. Working under the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the Purchasing Manager supports the operational effectiveness of the purchasing department across all vendors in a Category-Defining, Shared Reality Venue. The role will be responsible for effectively managing and directing daily aspects of purchasing across the entire venue.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for helping maintain cost-of-goods sold benchmarks by negotiating pricing contracts, monitoring inventory, and keeping detailed records supporting our venue operations.
- Oversee all purchase orders and provide expertise in effective strategy development.
- Participate in month-end close related to Accounts Payable and support the team with other tasks as needed.
- Work directly with the Finance team to ensure venue profitability and find opportunities to further profitability across our venues.
- Oversight of Venue weekly inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory, ensure the product is being rated, and control spoilage.
- Code all invoices to the proper outlet for immediate payment processing.
- Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
- Builds and maintains working relationships with Vendors.
- Work closely with finance and Purchasing Managers at other properties to recognize enterprise opportunities as Cosm scales.
- Fan-oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management in a CosmWorthy way.
- Must Lead daily through our Pillars of Service: Connected, Optimistic, Service Oriented and Memorable.
Experience:
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, supply chain management, or Business Administration preferred
- Experience with ERP or other accounting applications, such as Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Ceridian Dayforce, is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized, able to learn new programs and procedures quickly. Familiarity with Micros, Shift4, and Yellow Dog is a plus.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conduct working relationships in a manner that speaks to our Pillars of Service.
- High proficiency using MS Office, including intermediate knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP and building spreadsheets).
- Consistently demonstrates commitment to Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $67,000-$85,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
