We are currently seeking a part time Purchasing Assistant to join our team at our headquarters in Dayton, OH. The Purchasing Assistant will assist the Director of Operations by performing daily duties ensuring data is clean, documentation is updated, and working with international suppliers. Exceptional service delivery to customers both internal and external is the key operational requirement of this role. Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Operations, purchasing inventory and supplies through international and domestic suppliers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and internal customers.
- Collaborate with accounting, ensuring proper GL coding for invoices.
- Work with Product Management, setting up new part numbers in ERP system.
- Expedite purchase orders with international suppliers.
- Process drop-ship orders.
- Lead cycle counts with the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Plan speaker coating schedule.
- Update information in the ERP system.
- Maintain ISO documents.
- Other Duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent while seeking experience within the supply chain management field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Experience with inventory software, email software and Database software.
- A team player with a positive attitude towards work, staff engagement, and attention to details.
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety standards
- Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
