Purchasing AssistantResponsbilities Include:
- The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting and helping expedite the process to receive timely supplies and services.
- The central duties include reviewing order requests, submitting purchase orders, identifying backorders/discontinued items, quote with suppliers, reviewing the company’s purchasing agreements
- Ensuring materials and services meet the company’s standards and budget requirements.
- Making sure items are added to the correct subcategory.
- Items should be added/placed to the correct order guide.
- Managing purchase orders and confirmations.
- Follow up on vendor email confirmations for rejected/discontinued or backorder items.
- Making sure departments stay within budgets.
- Qualifications for Purchasing Specialist
- Purchasing Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Prior experience in procurement desired.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Pleasant attitude.
