Purchasing Analyst- Entry level

Tropical Shipping in West Palm Beach, Florida is seeking a Procurement Analyst!

This position is ideal for someone currently studying or graduating from a supply chain, logistics or business related field.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, accountability, a solid work ethic, commitment to excellence, ability to multi-task, attention to detail and interdepartmental communication.

This role is responsible for working with Buyers, Procurement Agents, and Account Payables team to help identify and correct receiving and pricing discrepancies under Procurement responsibility. Follows up with vendors on open and past due Purchase Orders (POs) to eliminate back-orders. Gathers, processes and analyzes relevant data to be used in process improvements in the Procurement and Materials Management area. The Procurement Analyst will also substitute for shoreside buyers during their absence and will be responsible for purchasing parts, materials, services, and equipment at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, and specifications.

Educational Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or in a related field

Experience Requirements:

• Six months of purchasing or purchasing related experience

Other Requirements:

• Valid drivers license
