Purchasing Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Source and procure materials, products, and services from suppliers for company inventory and product development. This includes negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to ensure cost effective purchases
• Manage supply chain logistics including coordination of international freight shipments
• Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels and generate purchase orders.
• Record inventory movements, build assemblies and other related activities in QuickBooks and other tracking files
• Audit supplier invoices against purchase orders and receiving reports to ensure correct quantity and pricing
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
• Resolve shipping errors or other disputes with supplier/freight forwarder.
• Implement preventive and corrective actions
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance
• Collaborate with internal teams to determine purchasing needs and specifications

Conduct market research to lower import costs, identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, improve manufacturing/import efficiencies.

• Work in a team environment to develop processes that foster efficiency and effectiveness
• Other duties as required

Skills:

• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contract terms

Excellent supplier management abilities to build and maintain effective relationships
Proficiency in procurement management processes and procedures
Knowledge of MRP systems for inventory tracking and purchase order generation
Ability to analyze market trends and make informed sourcing decisions

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Critical thinking and analytical skills

• Fluency in mandarin helpful but not required
• Experience with Intuit QuickBooks software a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
