Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. May require a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Overview of the role:
- Develop and manage strategic Public Relations consumer content campaigns that drive awareness of both Amazon Music podcasts and Wondery original content and year-long consumer brand campaigns (moments and tentpoles).
- Collaborate daily with internal stakeholder teams in order to drive successful campaigns and content launches (marketing, programming, content, legal).
- Support multiple publicity campaigns as a global leader, executing in the US and working closely alongside local int’l territory PR leads with positioning and guiding principles, to ensure consistency in overall Amazon Music/Wondery podcast content messaging.
- Develop messaging and media awareness for key internal spokespeople and external talent for announcements, industry panels and interviews.
- Closely manage and oversee (3) external vendors/Public Relations agencies on strategy, execution, and day-to-day matters; navigate internal processes to guide agency in execution
- Manage and liaise with external talent/hosts and their representation
- Act as internal PR POC for all PR and comms matters for both Wondery and Amazon Music podcast businesses
- Oversee PR for launch of (5) Wondery tentpole consumer brand campaigns supporting always-on podcast shows (inclusive of show campaigns, talent-relations, and live events—requiring heavy collaboration and oversight of external PR agency)
- Supporting the expansion of Wondery Kids brand (inclusive of content, brand awareness, and consumer product launch of brand new toy line in July)
- Maintenance and weekly episodic support for Wondery always-on podcast series (inclusive of top-tier talent-led shows, including Keke Palmer, Trey Wingo, and others)
- Planning and execution of PR launch campaigns for new podcast releases between April through October.
Contract Length: 9 Months
Location: Culver City (Hybrid)
Pay range: $47 - $55 per hour
