Additional job duties: Communicate easily and clearly, both orally and in writing, gather information by research, observation or interview method; serve at times as agency spokesperson; respond to media inquiries and maintain working relationships with local, state and national media; other public speaking may be required; apply excellent proofreading ability; work Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some later evenings; stay current with many active Commission cases; travel (sometimes with short notice) to provide coverage and to arrange coverage of important public events; organize and present a variety of informational and promotional materials in a clear, concise and appealing format; identify and develop ideas for positive public exposure of the agency's goals and accomplishments; learn new techniques for Public Information dissemination; must remain open to constructive criticism and continually work to achieve a higher level of professional expertise; possess and apply expertise in computer operation and in using various software programs; operate photographic equipment, including cameras, video cameras, teleprompters, other recording devices and computer interface equipment and software; compose layouts for web and online messaging; maintain an active news article archive; possess and apply a good phone personality; perform repetitive tasks such as filing and other menial tasks; perform as a team player demonstrating a desire to excel. Stay organized, work independently, and coordinate and lead projects as assigned. Performance of other related duties may be required.

Training: Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited four year college or university with a major in communications, fine arts, journalism, graphic design, marketing, public relations, English or related field.Experience: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a Public Information dissemination field.
