Job Description
We are seeking experienced full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to become part of our Houston area team at the Sugar Land clinic!
The position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, providing treatment plans, prescribing medication therapy, and offering counsel across the lifespan.
Responsibilities:
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments to patients of all ages, especially children
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other departments (psychology, Substance, Counseling)
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Maintain a customer-oriented approach to meeting patient needs in an expedient manner, involving the family in the plan of care as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- PMHNP Certified with one year experience as PHMNP
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields advantages
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration and physicians
- Strong leadership skills
- Stress resistant
