Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with Mental Health disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients with Mental Health conditions
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals within and outside of the practice to coordinate patient care - Develop rapport with patients using a trusting, empathetic and compassion approach to treatment
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about Mental Health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Comply with psychiatric medical care regulations and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Certified PMHNP with valid license to practice in Florida
- Must have a valid/current DEA certification
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Empathetic and compassionate
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
