Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team in Florida. This role is critical in ensuring the provision of high-quality psychiatric care to our diverse patient population, including those on chronic benzodiazepine treatment. We acknowledge the complexities associated with managing patients on long-term benzodiazepine therapy and are committed to supporting our staff through these challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care.
• Inherit and manage a caseload of patients, including those on chronic benzodiazepine therapy, ensuring their treatment is managed effectively and with sensitivity.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Participate in continuous education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in psychiatric care.

Requirements:

• Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.
• Current DEA certification and an active APRN license in Florida.
• Previous experience in managing patients on chronic benzodiazepine therapy is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team.
• A supervising physician will be provided if necessary.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate starting at $60 up to $75, based on experience and qualifications.
