Spherion, in partnership with the State of WI Department of Health Services, is looking for a Provider Management Specialist! The Provider Management Specialist processes Wisconsin Medicaid enrollment applications submitted by home and community-based service (HCBS) providers. Under the general supervision of the DMS-BQO Program Participation Oversight (PPO) Manager, the incumbent will
- Support the implementation of the Medicaid provider enrollment system for HCBS providers
- Interact with the provider community on enrollment-related issues and assist with the enrollment process as needed
- Process applications to ensure required licensing and certification documentation is present, as well as all additional required documentation
- Complete Wisconsin Caregiver Background checks as applicable
- Research and analyze Wisconsin Medicaid HCBS certification processes to clarify policies and processes for decision-makers, HCBS providers, and other analysts
- Provide alerts on decisions needed, issues, and risks to Bureaus throughout DHS
- Analyze and recommend changes in procedures, administrative rules, statutes, and standards relating to HCBS provider certification
- Identify issues and all contributing factors in straightforward situations, assess each using standard procedures and make sound decisions
- Complete deliverables, work plans, schedules, and required documentation
Goals and Worker Activities:
- Collaborate with PPO staff and manager to complete day-to-day activities
- Assist with problem-solving issues as they arise
- Report and escalate issues to PPO manager, or DHS management, as appropriate
- Work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
- Track and report on work completed
- Assist in building a strong team by cultivating relationships between PPO team personnel
- Attend meetings as communicated by PPO manager
- Provide technical assistance to HCBS waiver providers
Qualifications:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel, and OnBase
- Experience with LTC Waiver Services and providers
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to effectively prioritize
- Ability to learn software programs
- Ability to work well independently and with others
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks, projects, etc.
- Ability to navigate the Internet efficiently and effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders both orally and in writing
