- Acts as the central point of contact on assigned proposals, perform, lead, and guide proposal activities.
- Writes succinct, persuasive, and compelling narratives with the ability to proofread, edit, and review content for accuracy, compliance, and quality using one voice.
- Monitors proposal content to ensure compliance with the proposal plan, RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements.
- Leads proposal-planning sessions to ensure all members of the decision-making body understand the various nuances of the proposal requirement and, likewise, develop a specific focus for each bid response.
- Works in tandem with Proposal Project Manager in proposal preparation.
- Analyzes RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs to create process outlines and development plans.
- Prepares detailed proposal schedules, and outlines for all phases of proposal development.
- Works to ensure proposal content meets/exceeds expected standards and requirements as outlined in the bid request.
- Works closely with SMEs and other stakeholders to ensure content accurately reflects current operational capabilities and outdated information is appropriately flagged, deleted, and/or revised.
- Seeks opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of team processes and tools.
- Leads internal mapping sessions with the Proposal Team to determine the direction and focus for every proposal response commitment. Apply boilerplate content in appropriate areas for customization.
- Reads and understands RFP/RFI/RFQ and technical submission requirements ensuring Compliance Matrix accurately reflects RFP requirements.
- Directs and coordinates activities of assigned proposal team members to ensure the proposal progresses on schedule (ex. Weekly compliance matrix calls)
- Provides leadership of proposal team members throughout the proposal lifecycle.
- Adapts to the changing requirements of the proposal process and/or other related production requirements.
- Brainstorms ways to further enhance all documentation through the use of graphics and other visuals to enhance readability and interest.
- Ensures timelines are met and managed in accordance with the SOPs of the department.
- Assumes responsibilities for ensuring the writing structure and words used in the proposal persuasively convey the offer to the customer. Edit for grammar, punctuation, capitalization, clarity, readability, consistency, and persuasiveness.
- Researches and reviews competitors proposals to proactively identify Enterprise improvements.
- Occasional business travel may be required.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or English required.
- Three (3) plus years of experience in state or federal government proposals, healthcare writing, marketing, and/or corporate communications.
- Experience managing compliant and engaging proposals for government and/or commercial RFPs, journalistic editorials, or other client-facing publications.
- Experience using Loopio platform highly preferred
- Experience in proposal writing for the health care industry preferred.
- Experience in writing succinct, persuasive, and compelling narratives with the ability to proofread, edit, and review content for accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
