Essential Functions:
Enforce all company-specified safety policies and procedures.
Supervise the daily operations of staff, quality, and productivity.
Ensure all tickets are responded to on time.
Daily contact with manager, employees, and client.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will be responsible for a varying number of direct reports within the assigned territory.
This position directs and coordinates all activities of a locate technician team dedicated to damage prevention.
The position is 80% in the field. The fieldwork consists of but is not limited to locating, coaching, training, auditing, damage investigation, and field meetings with locate technicians and contractors.
The position is 20% non-field work. This work consists of but is not limited to safety meetings, managing ticket loads, ticket load time entry monitoring, scheduling, daily and nightly reports, inventory control, meetings with customers, and attending utility coordinating meetings.
Build and maintain contractor and client relationships.
Must be able to schedule and balance workloads.
Have flexibility under changing circumstances.
Work Environment:
The job requires time outside in various weather conditions and varying terrain as well as time in an administrative environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to walk 8-12 miles a day and operate a motor vehicle.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours will vary based on weather, workload, or other determining factors. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Salary is negotiable.
Travel:
Little travel is expected for this position but can vary depending on company needs.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1 full year of utility locating experience.
Strong customer service and client service skillset.
Computer skills including Microsoft Suite and Ticket Management Systems
