Essential Functions:
The Scheduler is responsible for engineering, procurement and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for engineering, procurement and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
- Prepare monthly schedule updates and various reports as necessary
- Prepare three-month look ahead schedules
- Provide a four-week short term schedules.
- Proficient in developing cost loaded schedules in P6.
- Review overall project schedule for critical path drivers and potential schedule delays to report to project management staff.
- Perform time impact analysis for delays and project impacts.
- Review weekly schedules to determine areas of work that have schedule creep that could result in project delays
- Analyze change orders and insert into project schedule to determine any potential schedule impacts caused by the changes
- Update the project schedule with RFI’s and Change Orders.
- Coordinate updates with Subcontractors and Vendors as necessary to ensure accurate information and sequence for monthly and weekly schedule updates.
- Analyze project controls reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the project management team.
- Analyze data; review logs; and run reports.
- Consult with project management team on schedule progress.
- Walk construction site with project management to review scope changes impacting the schedule.
- Analyze and report on data from Oracle Primavera P6.
- Develop pre-programmed project scheduling reports in P6 and review and analyze back-up documentation for accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
- Serves as a point of contact for technical questions from PM's, Project Engineers, or Construction staff.
- Hold meetings with clients to walk through schedule constraints.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- A minimum of 4 years of scheduling and direct project controls experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Proficient with Oracle Primavera P6.
- Experience with Microsoft Project.
Working Conditions:
100% of the time is spent on the project utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) telephones, and general office equipment. Some travel may be required as needed.
Salary: Non-Exempt $35-$52 per hour depending on experience.
