Job Description
Project Manager/Estimator
Responsible for the planning, preparation, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Responsible for gathering necessary information in order to create an exceptional proposal to effectively bid on airfield construction projects.
PM DUTIES:
- Lead the planning, preparation and execution of all assigned projects.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Define and determine project tasks and resource requirements.
- Develop/track and manage project material requirements and schedules.
- Assemble and coordinate project staff.
- Manage project budget.
- Manage project resource allocation.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools i.e., billing, redlines, close out document.
- Provide direction and support to project team members.
- Ensure effective quality assurance/control measures are in place and managed.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, solutions and risks.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project milestones.
- Project, assess and report the project status throughout the project.
ESTIMATOR DUTIES:
- Read and process information on projects from specs/plans, pre-bid meetings, site visits and addenda.
- Prepare quote request(s) needed for project.
- Attend pre-bid meeting and/or site visit for project to include taking site photos and perform project recon as necessary.
- Process received quote(s) and apply to project spreadsheet.
- Maintain project spreadsheet with all updated information to include processing of pre-bid meeting, site visit and addenda information.
- Meet with other department(s) within the company to gather information needed to prepare complete proposal.
- Combine all information received to prepare a complete proposal for project in a timely manner.
- Receive and process phone calls for Estimating Department (as required).
- Address questions and issues on projects with project contact (engineer/owner or others), Marketing Manager and Owner.
- Provide needed information to Estimating Administrator to complete proposal paperwork.
- Assist Marketing Manager, Owner, Operations and/or Estimating Administrator as required.
- Maintain effectiveness and proficiency with software programs with great attention to detail
The geographic area of operation is currently Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Virginia, Kentucky and Mississippi.

Administration
Precision Approach, LLC operates from our office/warehouse facility located in Eatonton, Georgia, approximately 70 miles east of Atlanta. Our facility allows for growth of our full time administrative staff, as this line of government funded contracting tends to require intensive paperwork. Maintaining an effective administrative support team is vital to our operation and growth.
Operations
Precision Approach, LLC performs on a full range of airport electrical and navigational aid construction projects regardless of size or technical complexity. Our professional staff maintains a fleet of trucks, equipment and other resources with the capacity to handle the most demanding logistical requirements of the unique airport construction industry. Precision Approach has established equipment rental accounts that will allow the rental of any necessary equipment. We focus on managing the logistics, material, equipment, and technical aspects of projects in order to increase efficiency and effectiveness. We believe that with our detailed management and quality control program we produce a high quality project for the Owner in an efficient manner.
