Food Processing Project Manager
Join our Maintenance Engineering team as we seek candidates to take on the role of Project Manager.
Food Processing Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee projects to optimize production methods, space utilization, and equipment efficiency.
- Collaborate with plant management, maintenance, quality assurance, safety, and other departments to align projects with plant needs and standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of dairy equipment and processes, staying updated on industry developments.
- Actively contribute as a member of the plant management team, providing support for various plant functions as directed by the plant manager.
- Assess the maintenance department's capabilities related to equipment, tools, and resources required to deliver satisfactory service to the plant.
- Uphold professionalism in adherence to plant rules and regulations, fostering high-quality personnel performance.
- Cultivate positive relationships with purchasing, suppliers, and vendors to facilitate equipment and supplies procurement.
- Conduct design work, including feasibility studies, economic analyses, and adherence to design criteria, meeting required standards for assigned projects.
- Maintain accurate project files, drawings, and documentation, addressing safety, ergonomic, and operational concerns through equipment design.
- Interpret a variety of instructions, manuals, and procedures in written, oral, and diagram formats.
- Fulfill administrative managerial duties promptly and professionally, including handling phone calls, voicemail, paperwork, and attending meetings.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical/Engineering preferred.
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in an engineering project management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Preferred experience in dairy or other food-related industries.
- Extensive experience managing complex projects and installations.
