SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a Project Managerto join our Department of Medicine team. This full-time role will primarily work days with occasional early evening hours. This is a grant funded position with a term date of 6/30/2025. Probability of extending.
This position will serve as a point person for educational efforts and manage related program logistics for all HHS Project ECHO programs for various parties within the organization and with external partners. The major responsibility of this position will be to manage all Project ECHO initiatives within the Department of Medicine. Project ECHO is a knowledge-sharing initiative that uses technology to ensure the right knowledge exists at the right place at the right timeto take care of people in rural and underserved areas. We currently host ECHO initiatives that help healthcare teams across Minnesota (and beyond) care for people struggling with complicated or problematic opioid use, including addiction, perinatal substance use, viral hepatitis, and associated conditions and are in the process of expanding our Project ECHO offerings to include Integrative Pain Care, Trauma-Informed Care and Health Equity, and Addiction/Integrative Pain Care for Community Health Workers and Peer Recovery Specialists.
The position will help create an understanding of project management with internal/external partners in order to gain support, collaboration, and motivation, as well as promote adaptation in rapidly changing environments. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the Project Coordinators in the development and assimilation of marketing materials, coordinating Project ECHO sessions, managing communications with partners, collecting data and associated databases, and implementing all tasks
BA S I C P U R P O S E O F T H E J O B
Responsible for the overall management, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects and day to day operations of Project ECHO
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Develop full scale project plans for HHS's Project ECHO programs
• Assemble and coordinate project staff meeting schedules
• Manage project budget - Oversee and provide support in the areas of vendor/contractor set up and invoice processing
• Manage project resource allocation
• Plan and schedule project timelines, implementing, adapting, and managing the established workplan for the project
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools - including oversight of data entry into the iECHO Platform and PERL
• Provide direction and support to project team, including supervision of the Project ECHO Project Coordinator(s)
• Quality assurance - oversight of communications with SME's, facilitators, and spokes
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders, including quarterly reports to funders
• Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• Project evaluations and assessment of result, collaborating and supporting the work of the Project ECHO Research Coordinator
• Manage Project ECHO spoke outreach, marketing, and recruitment, including managing social media, listservs/email distribution lists, etc
• Ensures that all team members understand the scope of the project as well as what they are individually responsible for
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience and education
- Qualification in project management or equivalent
- Direct work experience in project management capacity
- Proven experience in people management
- Proven experience in change management
- 5 yrs. experience in relevant field
- Advanced certification(s)
- Master's in Public Health or Public Policy
