Position

As part of an agile team, the Manager, Programs will be responsible for project management, developing processes and executing and supporting our continuous quality improvement activities for our industry-leading working group communities, and our virtual and in-person education programs. These programs are designed to meet and exceed the business, networking, and professional development goals of our attendees while amplifying the value of SEPA.

The Manager, Programs is a skilled Project Manager who is able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, is comfortable leading and performing to SEPA strategic goals and objectives, and relying on their experience and judgment to support the delivery and growth of high-quality programs. The Manager, Programs will work with internal team members, across departments, and with external stakeholders on a daily basis and will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service.

Please note this is NOT a meeting planning position and is not responsible for in person event logisitics.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 based on experience.

Requirements:

Project Management

  • Responsible for managing an effective relationship-driven and communication-centered project management process consistent with SEPA’s collaborative environment for the Programs and cross-organizational teams.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, bringing them to completion within expected timeframes, giving detailed attention to program strategy, project delegation, and program implementation.
  • Lead cross-organizational event team weekly and monthly meetings and track actions.
  • Coordinate communications with RE+ Events team
  • Evaluate and recommend continuous improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain long- and short-term project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and provide updates to all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the development of clear and effective project plans and schedules for event programs.
  • Proactively identify risk areas or bottlenecks and follow up with colleagues, as needed, to ensure on-time completion of all projects.
  • Maintain project information in an organized manner.

Event Management

  • Manage the speaker process, including but not limited to distributing invitations, facilitating planning calls, day of delivery support, and wrap-up surveying.
  • Manage online registration development and process for in-person and virtual programming.
  • Manage SEPA website and ‘e-store’ content as it relates to SEPA working groups, online training, programs and events
  • Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to ensure information regarding all programs and events are up to date and review of promotional materials is conducted.
  • Gather and analyze data regarding working group, training, conferences, workshops, and webinars within Salesforce and other sites and platforms, and develop timely summary reports.
  • Manage event and webinar evaluations and develop summary reports.
  • Maintain internal calendar of SEPA educational offerings and ensure external website is up to date.
  • Provide general support as needed for all communities, programs and events.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in project and program management, or the equivalent work experience, required.
  • Supporting project development, process development, support and analysis for virtual and online conferences and programming for adult learners.
  • Familiarity with association/non-profit business models and an understanding of adult education best practices is preferred.
  • Experience prioritizing, organizing, and tracking details, effectively managing deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Zoom, Stream Yard, SpotMe, Salesforce CRM software, SmartSheet, Monday or similar, preferred.
  • Experience with Google platform including Drive, Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs & Apps preferred.
