Job Summary:
The Project Manager II reports to Senior Project Manager and/or Director of Project Management. The PMII will use their industry and professional experience to act as a Team Lead for a group of Project Managers assigned to a particular Program, Classification, or Group of Projects. They will ensure that their team is developing and maintaining delighted customers by providing an unparalleled level of customer service and quality products and services to enhance their brand. This role is also responsible for acting as the primary contact, monitoring project progress, creating and maintaining customer reports, and tracking milestones and internal metrics to ensure all deliverables are achieved.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate and provide solutions to customer(s) to provide value added service with excellence.
- Perform as the primary executor of projects for customer(s).
- Develop cost estimates and selling values of assigned projects; solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Issue, monitor, and process purchase orders to subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and update status reports and forecasts to reflect changes.
- Coordinate with Internal and External sources to procure goods and services needed for the completion of each project.
- Learn customers brand and implementation standards and product specifications. Incorporate those standards into execution.
- Actively participate in internal team(s) that focuses on continuous improvement of the business as needed.
- Maintain and keep updated Customer Brand Standards, Survey Documents, Quote Templates, Customer Reports, Internal Reports etc. as needed.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret customer drawings and sign standards.
- Able to represent our organization’s values on a daily basis.
- Ensure consistency of our product and service offerings is being achieved equally amongst all team members.
- Review with PM’s their projects on a consistent basis, assisting where needed and proactively solving issues and overcoming roadblocks.
- Actively assists the SPM and/or Director of Project Management in the management, supervision, mentoring, motivation of team members.
- Ability to problem solve, negotiate, control costs, achieve required metrics.
- Document potential schedule delays and negative impacts to the Customer or AGI and promptly notify SPM and/or Director of Project Management of issues.
- Maintain awareness of all problem areas that arise during projects and proving the knowledge and experience to avoid /work around these situations on new projects.
Job Specifications:
- Education: Minimum of a 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, construction, or architecture.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager 1 and comparable role in the Signage, lighting or electrical industry or similar. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership aptitude. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
