Job description

Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is currently searching for a highly-motivated, experienced Stormwater Project Manager to join our Central Texas Stormwater Group preferably in San Antonio, Texas, but open to Austin, San Marcos, or Corpus Christi offices as well.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of FEMA floodplain studies, watershed master plans, and capital improvement projects (CIPs).
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses and geospatial analyses using various software packages including HEC-HMS; 1D steady, 1D unsteady, and 2D HEC-RAS; InfoWorks ICM; StormCAD; ArcGIS; and Python.
  • Lead project teams, monitor and report progress, and manage project financials.
  • Provide quality control reviews of technical deliverables.
  • Prepare and negotiate project scope, schedule, and fee estimates.
  • Serve as the technical lead for project proposals and statements of qualification (SOQ).
  • Work independently as well as plan and supervise work of teams of professionals and technicians.
  • Mentor and train junior staff engineers.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and functional management abilities are required.
  • The position includes interaction with both internal and external clients and a commitment to client service.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience in stormwater management
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • CFM preferred
