Assistant Project Manager Job Description Posting
Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various construction projects from award to completion.
This position reports to the Sr. Project Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities for awarded projects
· Prepares and submits product information for customer and architect approval
· Processes contract changes and manages documentation and procurement related to
· Collaborates with customer and architects to discuss and resolve problems with construction or design issues
· Schedules and coordinates installation of projects according to project schedule
· Proactive in ensuring project budget is met
· Submits monthly project billing and reviews project profitability reports
· Develops and maintains good working relationships with all personnel related to customers, architects and owners.
· Assists and collaborates with team members
· Attends weekly team meetings
· Attends onsite project meetings and industry related events
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
· Ability in architectural plan reading
· Basic understanding of contracts, specifications, and ADA compliance
· Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work well under pressure and effectively multitask
Education and Experience:
· At least two years of construction experience preferred
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with On Screen Take-Off, Building Connected, and Quickbooks
· 2+ years of experience in Division 10
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
· May require travel
· Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers
