Overview
The preferred candidate will have extensive gas/electrical utility experience and be comfortable leading cross-functional teams, managing all aspects of a program including target setting/management and timelines, maintaining strategic and analytical oversight across multiple simultaneous projects or project tracts, contractor performance management, communicating with leadership, developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to the appropriate work planning and execution processes.
Responsibilities
- Effectively monitor pre-construction, construction, and closeout activities for multiple simultaneous Substation projects.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and manage the program with respect to timely performance in accordance with project schedules and requirements of the program.
- Develop uniform standards for all aspects of project delivery.
- Provide the framework for reporting and control systems. Partner with the data analytics team to develop a strategy for effective program-level and project-level reporting.
- Evaluate contractor performance based on adherence to schedule, safety, cost, and quality of work.
- Execute planning, status, and ad-hoc meetings as required; supply meeting minutes and track and communicate risks/issues and execute mitigating steps as necessary.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on program performance, contractor performance, KPIs, at-risk projects, and other requested information.
- Partner with Engineering to forecast upcoming workload levels and effectively allocate work across construction contractors.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure overall alignment in reporting, KPIs, and metrics.
- Lead cross-functional efforts with external groups to resolve any program/project roadblocks (e.g. permitting, land, engineering, etc.).
Qualifications
- BS. in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent field; equivalent experience with customer approval.
- 5+ years of related experience or equivalent experience/training, especially in the electric utility industry.
- Project management knowledge required, PMP certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and otherD Microsoft Suite tools.
- Experience (or exposure) using various project management tools; Smartsheet, Procore, P6, Power BI.
- Ability to review complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Ability to make decisions from a data-driven perspective.
- In-depth knowledge of cost management, scheduling, project controls, budget forecasting, demonstrated risk management and mitigation with exceptional communication skills.
- Proven aptitude and demonstrated experience for managing simultaneous high-volume projects.

Wage Data Per State Requirements
Salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
