Are you the One? We are looking for a Project Manager I,who will supervise two employees and manage areas of concentration within Facilities Management and Resources.
- Assist the Facilities Program Manager with the following: Prepares necessary documentation to support projects within Facilities Management and Resources. Responsible for managing and directing the initiation of agency projects. Determine agency budget as it relates to the specific project. Develop expected timeline. Responsible for developing detailed project schedules, scopes, and timelines, to include a work plan, and setting up goals /deliverables. Maintain effective collaboration with stakeholders to establish efficient workflows to ensure project runs smoothly without issues. Prepares status reports and provides updates to project stakeholders. Responsible for tracking the effort and cost of the selected project, to ensure project remains within budget. Coordinates requests and recommends changes. Identifies potential problems; facilitates problem resolution by determining or recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy. Responsible for reviewing the entire project and completing a detailed report. Ensure all documentation related to the project is maintained.
- Assist Facilities Manager with determining space needs as directed by upper management. Ensure Request For Space documentation is completed, reviewed, signed, and submitted to the Department of Administration. Conduct site visits. Review space solicitations and assist in selections based on agency needs. Review draft leases. Construct Exempt leases in accordance with Department of Administration standards. Ensure leases are prepared for signature for upper management. Ensure all supporting documents pertaining to leases are submitted for signature. Ensure all lease documents are maintained on the L drive. Ensure lease roster is up to date as necessary.
- Maintain a schedule of site assessments in accordance to agency needs. Ensure site assessments are conducted of agency facilities as directed. Ensure follow ups as necessary. Review and approve assessment reports. Ensure Facilities Manager is briefed on assessment results. Ensure assessment reports are maintained on the L drive. Ensure facilities and property estimates are updated on annual insurance document.
- Ensure agency key control policy is up to date. Ensure high security keys are accounted for and maintained in accordance with established policies. Ensure all keys are organized. Provide keys to staff as needed. Work closely with vendors to provide lock and key services. Manage costs, per blanket purchase orders.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in State emergency activities to include South Carolina Emergency Response Team(SERT), Mass Care(ESF6 Shelter Operations), Recovery Operations, and Donated Goods(ESF18). Attend Emergency Management Division meetings, as it relates to areas of responsibility. Respond and participate in state emergencies as it relates to areas of responsibility. Ensure agency Defibrillators are maintained. Ensure batteries and pads are changed as necessary. Ensure accountability and location of defibrillators are maintained. Ensure the Jefferson Square floor monitor roster is up to date.
- Performs fundamental supervisory and leadership functions in accordance with Department policies and procedures, best practices and Federal and State rules and regulations, especially with regard to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) standards. Maintains an effective organizational team and motivates diverse staff to accomplish mission critical operations and objectives. Promotes workforce engagement.

A bachelor's degree and relevant experience managing multiple project projects simultaneously that range in complexity from minimal to intricate levels.
