We are currently seeking to add a highly skilled and client-focused Project Manager – Drilling Services to our Boart Longyear team in Elko, Nevada. In this role, the Project Manager will work specifically with the Nevada Goldmine Complex and will play a crucial role across different divisions in project coordination, client relationship management, and will be a key player in ensuring continued EHS and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field OR 7 years of applicable experience in the Drilling Services/Mining Industry.
- Proven track record of successful project management and coordination in the Drilling Services Industry.
- Strong technical understanding of Drilling Services in its entirety, to include different drilling disciplines.
- Extensive background in Environmental Health and Safety.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a safety-focused team culture.
- Must have strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive and collaborative approach to address challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members across divisions, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate difficult conversations while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.
- High level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions, with a commitment to upholding company values
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains a strong relationship with the client and all operations personnel.
- Handles difficult situations with professionalism to find effective solutions to challenges to ensure client satisfaction.
- Acts as a liaison between the Company and the client to ensure all needs are met across all drilling disciplines.
- Coordinates regular meetings with the client to review needs and objectives while championing the operations teams and the Company.
- Leads and influences team culture focused on safety and driving improvements.
- Influences a sense of continuity among divisions with a client-focused approach.
- Collaborates with teams to ensure EHS and other compliance standards are being met across divisions – to include site inspections/inductions, FLRAs, etc.
- Anticipates problems, barriers, or conflicts and works with operation leadership and the client to implement solutions.
- Approaches areas for improvement with a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
- Ensures relevant operational systems, processes and practices exist, are understood, and applied consistently throughout the NGM Complex.
- Connects the interface between operational requirements and EHS systems, processes, and practices so that statutory, company and client requirements are met.
- Provides guidance on operational and safety requirements
