Works closely with Operations Manager to ensure operational projects and opportunities are being integrated, reviewed, monitored and maintained. Provides strategic and new ideas for developing training programs and procedures. Initiates and monitors budget conscience workflows through use of outsourcing vendor(s) and leverages use of various systems to meet budget targets for the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies areas in need of process improvement and develops the methods and/or tools to
improve deliverables;
Coordinates with professional development and management teams to implement use of
new systems, technologies or procedures;
Facilitates communication between departments and works to develop commonly used
practices and procedures;
Assists with development of corporate projects at a local level;
Oversees outsourcing projects and manages relationships and balanced workloads between
Alliant staff and outsourced staff;
Manages budget and margin and helps to identify and generate revenue in groups as
assigned;
Participates in critical success factor projects;
Manages teams or team projects as assigned;
Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and
maintains complete and accurate information);
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education or experience
Eight (8) or more years related experience; specifically insurance agency experience with understanding of insurance and business workflows, as well as experience with system implementations and configuration of systems.
Experience with Public Entity Business and JPA's
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles preferred
Experience in creating procedures, writing procedure manuals and related training materials/programs required
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to devise creative solutions when it comes to applying business tools to business problems
Ability to train people on an individual and group basis
Good problem solving and time management and organizational skills
Motivated and able to Multi-task
Ability to work within a team, lead a team and foster teamwork
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
