Project Manager
Department of Fleet and Facility Management
Bureau of Architecture, Engineering and Construction
Number of Positions: 3 Pending Budget Approval
The City of Chicago's Department of Fleet and Facility Management is seeking Project Managers to monitor project progress, set deadlines, solve issues that arise, manage funding, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluate project performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Guide a project team to plan, design, and deliver an effective project
• Coordinate and meet with stakeholders and end-users for project coordination and implementation
• Managing day-to-day activities of designers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on multiple projects at a time.
• Managing reporting and documentation for contract administration, procurement documents, estimating, pay requests, change orders, and requests for information.
• Managing cost control, funding sources, project scheduling, tracking submittals, safety controls, and payment processes
• Work is performed in a fast-paced environment
• Delivering a high level of quality and responsiveness on all projects, deliverables, and correspondence
Additional duties may be required for this position.
Location: 2 North LaSalle
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. [extended work hours may be required]
Salary: $ 110,940.00/year

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree inArchitecture, Engineering or a related field, plus five years of combined experience as a project architect and project manager, project cost estimating experience and possession of a construction Management or Program Management Certification
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following. Should you meet these criteria please include on your resume:
• Architecture or Engineering license preferred
• Professional Sustainability Certification a plus
