Department: Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees a team of managers and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

Position Summary: The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organizations research, development, and product implementation efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Key Health, Safety and Environment Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Precisions QHSES Management System
  • Raise HSES concerns and suggestions with their manager and/ or QHSE
  • Representative
  • Report all HSES related incidents
  • Intervene when there is an unacceptable risk to another person
  • Ensure they understand their task and follow the instruction provided
  • Use the Precision STOP process to keep themselves and those around them safe, refusing to undertake work that compromises their health or safety.
  • Support the environmental initiatives and promote the environmental programs to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in any root cause analysis to assist in promoting continuous improvement.

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Need excellent planning, organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and written, verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with others in a professional manner.
  • Proven ability to work effectively alone and in small teams.
  • Prior oilfield inspection and/or non-destructive testing (NDT) experience helpful.
  • Must have flexibility to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • Also requires flexibility regarding overtime and out-of-town or overseas travel when needed.
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time offshore on platforms and vessels.

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The employee will occasionally work in confined spaces and work constantly on a stable work surface.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Employee must be willing and able to meet any HSE requirements that may be required by Precision NDT, LLC to perform their job duties in the designated work area.
