Job DescriptionAECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a dynamic, talented Project Director for PART-TIME/ON-CALL employment to be based out of our New York City office. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a project director on regional, state, and municipal water and wastewater projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful group that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
· Directs and manages the entire project from planning through design and construction.
· Overall responsibility of the project including but not limited to financial performance, schedule, staffing, execution, and contract closeout.
· Provides guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and is the primary liaison between AECOM and the client.
· Identifies, pre-positions, and leads business development pursuits for new and existing clients.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
· BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with extensive years of related experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management
· Registered Professional Engineer
· Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems and client/consultant relations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
20+ years of related experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management
· Registered Professional Engineer licensed in New York or capable of obtaining the required license within 9 months of employment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association
· Proven ability of leading business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects, and managing project deliveries
· Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated

- Note: This position is a part-time/on-call role
- Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $289,328.00 - $375.619.00
