Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project plans. Prepare regular updates for project stakeholders.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project team members, clients, and other stakeholders. Act as a liaison to ensure information flows seamlessly across all channels.
- Schedule Management: Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules. Monitor progress and address any deviations from the established timelines.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to achieve project milestones.
- Learning and Development: Take advantage of the internship as a learning opportunity to understand various aspects of civil engineering Project Management.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and commitment to producing accurate work.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Required Education and Experience:
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
- No prior railroad experience required.
