As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Project Management team, contributing to the successful planning, execution, and completion of various civil projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project plans. Prepare regular updates for project stakeholders.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project team members, clients, and other stakeholders. Act as a liaison to ensure information flows seamlessly across all channels.
  • Schedule Management: Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules. Monitor progress and address any deviations from the established timelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to achieve project milestones.
  • Learning and Development: Take advantage of the internship as a learning opportunity to understand various aspects of civil engineering Project Management.
  • Other duties assigned or required to meet the business needs
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • No prior railroad experience required.
