Smith Micro is seeking undergraduate college students with Computer Science focused academic background to join our Internship Program this year. The goal is to enhance your educational experience through practical, on-the-job learning, assignments, and projects. We hold collaboration in high regard, foster innovation, and value the diverse intellectual capabilities that make up our strong, smart, and passionate workforce. This internship is a hybrid position set to begin in either late May or June 2024 for a duration of 12 weeks - dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.  Summer Interns will work 30-40 hours per week with 2-3 days in the office from May 20- August 16.

What you will do:

• Perform a variety of activities related to the management of a partner's device roadmap.
• Work internally with operating groups to ensure mobile device deliverables are met.
• Manage communications with OEM's and partners relating to, but not limited to mobile device activation requests and resolutions regarding blocking issues.
• Ensure the device catalog is accurate and current.
• Maintaining an accurate representation of the status of each device.
• Coordinate efforts with the assigned Program Manager and Product Manager.
• Identify and document device related processes.
• Identify improvements related to aforementioned processes.
• Must have the ability to work with limited oversight.  
• Strong written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple on-going communications at once.

What you will need:

• Located within 50 miles of the office with reliable transportation and able to work within the office 2-3 days weekly.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner.
• Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Education:

• Must have junior or senior status in a degreed program at a 4-year accredited college/university.
• Business or Project Management related.
