Under the direction of the Manager of Material Services, responsible for coordinating on-site receiving, shipping, special project work, critical and non-critical inventory, control, and ordering, dock scheduling, Lawson data input, staff coverage, package investigation and location, all in support of departmental/divisional/hospital/and health services mission statements.

2. Medical Gas /Office Supply Special Inventory Control and Procurement. Reviews Medical Gas, Office supply, and special inventories for the purpose of maintainingadequate and emergency supplies. Supports departmental staff, and customer groups, in the procurement of related medical gas products, equipment, and facilitates the office supply ordering Process..
2.1 Reviews medical gas inventory daily, and orders gases according to established par levels
3. Lawson System Data Input and Receiving:Accesses Lawson Accounting System and inputs data for the purpose of receiving products and equipment, sending order information to suppliers, reconciling receiving information at the request ofMaterial Service managers, authorized purchasing or Accounts Payable staff and customer groups.
4. Communication Equipment Inventory: Responsible for the inventory, repair, and procurement of department communication devices.
4.1 Inventories and, prepares for staff use, all communication devices at the start and end of each
5. Loading Dock deliveries.
6. Shipping Services: Accepts, packages, supplies and equipment for the purpose of providingreturn (shipping) services for all hospital departments and in order to facilitate the repair, return, orcredit processing of said equipment and supplies. Uses approved vendors for shipping and maintains current records for all shipments.
6.1 Reviews requests for shipping from Purchasing, SRC, e-mail, or other customers, and sets
7. Cover Service Coordinator/Staff Positions:Cover open or vacant Service Coordinator, Material Handler, or Material Service Aide positions asrequired and in order to maintain supply delivery services in support of patient care.
7.1 Cover staff positions as requested by supervisor, or manager, of Material Services.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
High school degree or equivalent with computer processing courses completed, and 1 to 2 years of college experience.
EXPERIENCE
five years hospital supply delivery, or equivalent.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Ability to facilitate complex and multi-layered projects related to supply distribution, tube system operations, and special inventory coordination. Coordinates and implements new systems while acting as liaison for hospital, vendors and special customer groups. Must display ability to organize and document project assignments while working independently within established time frames and complete associated end tasks. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and customer focused service skills.
