Position Summary:
The primary function is in the area of conceptual engineering, in which the mechanical design is developed, and comprehensive product definition is created.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the timely execution of assignments that deal with Everbrite customers. These assignments will be varied in scope but will deal with solving design and engineering problems.
· Develop the best aesthetic of the product, as well as practical solutions to the mechanical elements of the product. Utilize drawings and bills of material for product specifications and requirements.
· Participate and play a leadership role in new products, product introduction, value engineering, and product problem solving.
· Project Engineer will work with manufacturing to develop a quality product that complements the processes of manufacturing in the most economical way.
· Work closely with Estimating and Purchasing to establish cost data.
· Follow established company procedures and design standards.
· Assist in the training of new employees.
· Work as a team member to meet company objectives.
· Prepare and distribute reports, drawings, letters, and other communications as required in oral, written, or electronic form.
· Travel may be required to perform responsibilities.
· Work closely with Estimating and Purchasing on value engineering efforts.
· Support Sales and Sales Service with customer involvement.
· Support governing organizations such as U.L., C.S.A. and National Electric Code.
· Work with Tech Team on technical products.
· And other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements / Experience:
· Degree in Engineering disciplines or equivalent is preferred.
· Up to three years’ experience in the development of new products and/or processes.
· Proficient in SolidWorks.
· Demonstrated leadership in product development and meeting customer expectations.
· Innovative mindset - During the conceptual engineering and design phases of new products, special talents are required to find the best mechanical practices in order to provide the company with a competitive advantage.
