Axient is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Project Engineer-SLS Liquid Engine Office to support element planning/documentation development, acquisition planning and alternatives analyses during the design, development, and test phases of the SLS Core Stage Engine and the RL10 Engine. The individual shall interact with senior project personnel at MSFC, prime contractors, other NASA centers, DoD, industry, and academia.
Responsibilities
The canddate will:
Support the SLS LEO Office in mentoring, program management, program cost and schedule projections, and availability and application of advanced technologies, concept and definitions, and systems engineering as they apply to the LEO Element.
Support concept and requirements definition, program cost and schedule projections, acquisition planning, systems development and adaptation; and alternatives analysis.
Attend Program and Element reviews and meetings and prepare comments, observations, and recommendations on approaches to implement designs, architectures, and plans from a programmatic perspective on meeting content.
Serve on internal independent and special review teams as identified by the SLS LEO Office.
Prepare and deliver briefings
Provide oral status reviews with SLS Element office staff.
QualificationsCandidate shall have:
Knowledge of NPR 7120.5 NASA Flight Program and Project Management Requirements and NPR 7123.1 Systems Engineering Processes and Requirements.
Bachelor's Degree with 30+ years of related experience
