Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for the installation and wiring of new systems plusdecommissioning of old as directed by Engineering.This position requires a person who has a well-rounded knowledge of broadcast systems. This individual will be part of the Engineering group andwill also provide technical support of the core broadcast infrastructure.
Major Responsibilities:
- Wire listing and detailing of system designs (proficient in Excel)
- System cabling fabrication.
- System installation. (Cable lacing, equipment racking, etc.)
- System testing and qualifying. Interact with and support Production, IT and Operations Staff.
- Perform on call, on-site remote emergency troubleshooting and repairs.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Must have knowledge of broadcast systems and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively.
- Willingness to travel and accept shift and weekend assignments.
- Cable manufacturing and management skills.
- 2 years of technical experience.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
