Position Summary:
This project position is responsible for troubleshooting and providing assurance of NBA video streams and its corresponding operational and advertisement components across multiple platforms. The analyst will monitor live and VOD content on NBA digital platforms and escalate any issues through the proper channels. In addition, the Project Employee should have troubleshooting skills to provide insight in the escalation process.
Major Responsibilities:
- Monitor and troubleshoot live & VOD streaming workflows
- Comprehension and experience in digital video, including knowledge of creative ad servers, and concepts like VAST and VPAID
- Understand video streaming and ad serving ecosystem and its associated rules
- Troubleshoot and escalate any issues to appropriate stakeholders and document in ticketing/documentation systems (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Build and iterate on operational processes
- Become versed in existing systems and understand the implications of changing business requirements and consumer behaviors
- Collaborate, document, and improve understanding with technical teams and product owners.
- Testing (not QA) newly developed features
- Giving demos of new features to internal teams for feedback and educational purposes
- Working closely with engineering, client services, and design to ensure nothing ‘slips’
- Supporting and learning from senior product managers
- Provide after hours and weekend support for production systems when needed
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience with multi-platform debugging and proxy tools such as Charles & Fiddler
- Experience with VPN tools and have a basic understanding of network routing
- Experience within the video streaming and ad serving ecosystem, including video ad servers (Freewheel, Google Ad Manager etc.) and SSAI services (MediaKind, Prisma, etc.)
- Experience in a queue management/ticketing system such as JIRA
- Experience with agile software development workflow
- Experience in operational support role
- Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a collaborative team
- Quick learner and detail oriented: critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Educational Background Required:
- BS in computer science, electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- In lieu a college degree significant field experience will be considered
Salary Range: [[$30/Hourly]]
