Project Cost Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Project Cost Analyst to join our broadband development team. As a Project Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in the successful execution and delivery of broadband projects. You will be responsible for analyzing costs, identifying areas of improvement, and providing accurate financial projections.

In this role, you will work closely with project managers and finance teams to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and that cost estimates are accurate. Your ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings will be critical to the success of our projects.

Please note, this is an on-site position.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed largely within the organization with limited chance for personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. Unscheduled evening and weekend work will be needed to meet the needs of the organization. Occasional out-of-town and overnight business travel is required.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze Project Costs and budgets to ensure accuracy and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Monitor project spending and track any deviations from the approved budget.
• Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to develop accurate cost estimates for new projects.
• Conduct regular cost variance analysis and provide reporting to management.
• Identify areas of cost savings and propose cost reduction strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in project planning meetings to provide expertise on cost-related matters.
• Conducts market research as needed to recommend changes to pricing or business models.
• Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in finance, accounting, or a business-related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of broadband networks and telecommunications industry is a plus.
