A Full-Service Law Firm is accepting applications for 2L Intellectual Property Summer Associates in the Boston, MA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Princeton, NJ, Seattle, WA, and West Palm Beach, FL offices. Fox Rothschild's Summer Associate Program allows law students the opportunity to gain experience and legal training from Firm attorneys during the summer following their second year of law school.Essential Functions:
- Work directly with attorneys on a variety of substantive and challenging work assignments designed to provide exposure to the practical aspects of the legal profession.
- Conduct thorough research and assist in gathering all the data and information that is relevant to the client or case.
- Draft memos and motions regarding various areas of law.
- Draft substantive articles and client alerts to inform clients on legal developments in their industries.
- Review and analyze court decisions.
- Observe attorneys in trials, hearings, deposition, and negotiations, arbitrations, client conferences, closings, and other client-related activities.
- Participate in interactive training through workshops, webinars, presentations, department and practice area meetings, and general professional development programs.
- Receive mentorship by partners and associates of the Firm.
- Be receptive to guidance and detailed feedback upon the completion of projects/ assignments.
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Must be a 2L full-time or 3L part-time law student at an ABA-accredited law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2026.
- Must be able to commute to at least one Fox Rothschild office for the duration of the Summer Associate Program.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Life Sciences, or Mechanical Engineering required.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Critical and legal reasoning skills.
- Ability to work with detailed information accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Must have good presentation, written and verbal communication as well as the ability to communicate effectively with different groups and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate exceptional organization and time management skills.
