Job Summary:

The Project CoordinatorField Services position provides support for the business operations manager & supervisor, field managers, and field staff. This position coordinates activities for clients across the US, including document verification, execution of contracts, supplying rates, scheduling, and extensive communication with railroads for planned projects in the field. 

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Works with railroad and contractors to ensure that all permits/license requirements are met before any construction/work takes place on or near the railroad property
  • Coordinates and works closely with the field for scheduling flagging and/or construction monitoring
  • Actively anticipates, identifies, and recognizes issues and initiates steps to resolve any conflicts
  • Involved in reporting processes and ensures accurate data input for all communication
  • Creates and edits documents using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat PDF
  • Expert utilizing email communication and verbal communication with customers
  • Strong organizational skills to manage numerous customers daily
  • Answers diverse phone calls with excellent customer service skills
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with electronic communications including phone, e-mail and text
  • Experience in dealing with customers firsthand, working through difficult situations, and resolving issues as needed to meet commitments of the department
  • Proven experience making decisions while following departmental guidelines

 

 

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of administrative and/or project management experience

 

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience with client/customer service
  • Project coordinating
  • Some college preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to think and work independently
